Why can 1688 shipping look expensive, and which costs belong in the total?
If the order address is a China consolidation warehouse, first confirm which segment the seller's quote covers; You cannot directly treat the shipping fee on the product page as the total price for delivery to Taiwan. Some suppliers also offer cross-border shipping; whether it is available and which fees are included must be confirmed with the seller of the order. 1688 Overseas terms require both parties to agree on payment terms, shipping, insurance, fees, and taxes.
- Before placing an order, confirm the minimum order quantity, sample and bulk specifications, shipping date, domestic shipping fee, outer box dimensions and gross weight, and keep order records.
- Compare prices for the same batch, same delivery location, and same service scope. Delivery or other items already included in the quotation should not be added again.

How do actual and dimensional weight work, and why can bulky light goods cost more?
Actual weight is the weight measured after packaging; Volumetric weight is the volume of the outer box converted into billed weight. If both options are used, goods with larger volume and lighter weight may be charged by volume. Divisors, units, rounding methods, and whether pricing is done per container vary by channel; the express shipping formula cannot be directly applied to air or regular sea freight. For general sea freight, please inquire for each product price; For other channels, please refer to the current plan and system quotation.

The above dimensions and weights are teaching assumptions; no fixed quotation is included, and no additional fees are included. The last column assumes safe shrinkage packaging with a gross weight of 5 kg, but is not guaranteed. Actual calculation should be based on post-repackage measurement, rounding up the selected plan, minimum charge, and surcharge; How much less you can pay should be compared before and after the full quotation.

Does combining parcels from several sellers always save money?
Consolidating boxes may reduce duplicate outer boxes and empty spaces, but it does not guarantee a better price each time. First, check whether all packages have arrived, whether they can be shared, fragile product protection, and after-sales period. Then compare the original shipment and the combined size, gross weight, processing fees, and delivery conditions. Don't buy unwanted goods just to meet shipping thresholds.

- Verify the number of items and available photos before shipment; Photos and general inventory do not constitute functional testing or authenticity verification. If you need to return the product, contact the seller and customer service within the after-sales period for the order.
- Explain to the warehouse whether the original box can be removed and which protective materials need to be retained. Before purchasing packaging materials, wooden racks, etc., first check the scope of services and fees for processing.
The warehouse repackaging into a "combined box" is different from the "bag consolidation for customs" handled by the service provider. Taipei Customs 2022 announced that this applies to air-imported express deliveries: eligible e-commerce goods must be approved by the service provider and meet the requirements for splitting bills of lading, weight, and labeling. Among these, the 20 kg limit has specific applicable conditions. This announcement cannot be used to directly infer that sea express can't use combined boxes, nor can it be used to assume that exceeding bag consolidation conditions always requires formal customs declaration; sea express must be judged separately according to sea express regulations. Box-type studies show that packaging space is worth examining; however, the model results for single-item orders of South Asia e-commerce cannot be taken as a 1688 guarantee of cost savings for combined boxes from multiple sellers.

Which restrictions and import charges must be checked before shipping to Taiwan?
Before ordering, use the actual product name, purpose, material, origin and specification to confirm the CCC tariff classification and import requirements. Mainland-Chinese goods marked MW0 may not be imported; MP1 means the conditional-import rules need further review. Food, cosmetics, electrical goods and wireless equipment may require inspection or permits depending on the item and use. A seller willing to ship or warehouse willing to receive is not proof of Taiwan import compliance.
- Read the CCC code guide, then check the official import requirements; ask a customs broker when classification is uncertain.
- Import charges depend on customs value, tariff classification and the goods. The low-value exemption generally applies when the customs value of the same shipment is NT$2,000 or less, with exceptions including tobacco, alcohol, quota agricultural products, and more than 6 exempt imports in a six-month period.
- Consolidation is a shipping arrangement, not a way to avoid tax through false descriptions, undervaluation or unlawful split declarations. Use the import-charge calculator for an estimate; Customs makes the final assessment.

Who pays for the goods, and how should customs and business-tax records be prepared?
The buyer places and pays for the 1688 order using an eligible method supported by that order. WorldFirst 跨境寶 is one verifiable option, but eligibility, account linking, product restrictions and displayed fees still need checking. GoodLuck Logistics assists with consolidation and customs clearance; it does not purchase, pay for, or advance the price of goods or customs duties. Keep merchandise payments separate from logistics service fees.
- Before declaration, prepare the order, proof of payment, product name, quantity, material, use and origin, and confirm the actual importer. For company purchases, provide the company name, tax ID and document requirements before dispatch.
- Simplified declaration must comply with the category, price, and related restrictions of the goods. For example, Hai Kuai: if the taxable value exceeds NT$50,000, or goods that require general declaration according to law, the general declaration must be handled according to regulations; The company name itself does not guarantee the application of simplified declaration.
- Whether business tax can be deducted depends on the taxation method of the business, business purpose, legal documents, and regulations that do not allow deduction. First, confirm the customs duty payment certificate or related receipts and the declaration period; Customs duties and payment cannot be directly considered deductible input business tax.
