Here, “vintage furniture” means used furniture, lighting or ceramics shipped by a Chinese seller, consolidated at the Shenzhen warehouse and forwarded to Taiwan.
Obtain material and age documentation → check export restrictions → check the 11-digit CCC code → confirm packaging and customs documents.
1stDibs, Chairish, Etsy and eBay can provide product and brand-identification background, but they are not overseas receiving routes for HowBridge Logistics.
For the small-quantity Chinese industrial-goods permit exemption, the full declaration CIF must not exceed NT$32,000 and each item must not exceed 24 pieces; goods that cannot be counted by piece must not exceed 40 kg.
We handle only China→Taiwan: the seller sends the item to the Shenzhen warehouse, where it is consolidated and suitably packed before shipment to Taiwan; the Taoyuan side handles the next steps. Receiving, disassembly/assembly, VAT refunds or LCL routes in other countries and regions are outside the service scope.

Items made of unidentified wood or animal/plant materials such as ivory or leather, suspected cultural relics, or goods whose transaction price or origin cannot be verified.
Calling an item simply “furniture” is insufficient. Separate its material, use, age, whether it is powered and whether it contains controlled materials before looking up the correct complete tariff code.
| Product feature | Confirm first | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Wooden tables, chairs and cabinets | Scientific name of the wood, whether leather/bone/horn is present, and manufacturing date | Check the CITES appendices and notes, then check the furniture CCC code |
| Ceramics and tableware | Material, use, origin and age | Check food-contact use and antique status separately; do not assume there are no restrictions |
| Vintage lighting | Fixture, wiring, socket, light source and rated specifications | Powered parts may have additional inspection requirements; check each item against the actual product |
| Antiques over 100 years old | Authentic age, provenance documents and whether it is a cultural relic | Heading 9706 is only a classification direction; the complete 11-digit code and export review are still required |
These platforms can help identify brands, dates, sellers and market descriptions; names such as Eames chairs can also be used as search terms. However, product pages, platform reviews and seller labels cannot replace CITES checks, export documents, the complete CCC code or Taiwan import rules.
| Role | Information provided | Does not represent |
|---|---|---|
| Overseas second-hand platforms | Product descriptions, seller information, brand and age clues | That HowBridge Logistics has a warehouse there or offers consolidation from that country |
| Chinese seller/platform | Actual transaction, shipping and material documents | That the item is necessarily exportable or importable into Taiwan |
| HowBridge Logistics Shenzhen warehouse | Domestic receiving in China, consolidation and China-to-Taiwan shipping assessment | A substitute for government permits, inspection or customs classification |
Do not assume that all furniture has a fixed tariff or that you only add 5%. First obtain the import rate for the complete 11-digit code, then calculate from the customs value; the basis for ordinary import VAT also includes import duty and other legally included charges. High-value furniture may involve additional taxes.
Prepare product photos, material, dimensions, weight, age and order records before assessing shipment from the Shenzhen warehouse to Taiwan.
