How to Use a Consolidation Warehouse: Complete Guide to Warehouse Addresses, Consolidation, and Shipping Cost Calculation

In One Sentence: How Do You Use a Consolidation Warehouse?

Rates and billing rules are synchronized with the backend implementation of the official 0523.tw calculator (/c); the invoice based on measurements taken after arrival at warehouse prevails

What Is the Difference Between a Consolidation Warehouse and Direct Shipping?

With “direct shipping,” the seller ships directly to Taiwan using SF International or EMS. Each item starts at about RMB 80+ (about NT$350), and every item must be declared separately.

With a “consolidation warehouse,” products are first shipped to a consolidation warehouse in China (HowBridge operates its own warehouse in Bao’an, Shenzhen). Once multiple orders have arrived, they are combined into one box and declared together, saving 30–50% on shipping.

Correct Warehouse Address Format

Copy the Consolidation Warehouse Address from Your 0523.tw Account

After signing in, open the “My Warehouse” tab to find your dedicated address:

Name好运器
Phone13603054302
Postal Code518103
Address深圳市宝安区福海街道桥头社区宝安大道6261号彤鑫科技大厦B座3A11-H□□□□库位 (H□□□□ = your personal ID code; it is filled in automatically when you one-tap copy the address from the 0523.tw homepage after logging in)

Why enter "好运器" as the name and keep the personal ID code at the end of the address?

On Chinese e-commerce platforms (Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD, Xiaohongshu, etc.), the shipping label automatically masks the name and phone number with asterisks (e.g. 王**, 136****4302) — only the address is never masked. So simply enter "好运器" as the name and the warehouse phone number 13603054302 as the phone; for the delivery address, log in to 0523.tw and one-tap copy it from the homepage — it already ends with your personal ID code (starting with H), which the warehouse uses to match parcels to your account automatically, so do not delete or change it. (The old format — a Taiwan mobile number at the end of the address — still works for matching.)

Common Mistakes

  • Entering your Taiwan mobile number in the “Phone” field → the seller rejects the shipment (you must enter the warehouse phone number 13603054302 in the phone field; your Taiwan mobile number can only be added at the end of the “Address” field)
  • The personal ID code is missing from the end of the address (and no Taiwan mobile number was noted either) → the parcel is unidentified and must be claimed separately.
  • Copying the address by hand and omitting characters → delivery errors

How to Confirm That Your Goods Have Arrived at the Warehouse

When a parcel reaches the Shenzhen warehouse, the system automatically scans its tracking number, photographs it, records its arrival, and sends you a LINE push notification. Under “My Parcels” in your account, you can view:

If you have concerns about the contents, you can purchase an inspection service. Warehouse staff will open the parcel and photograph the contents for your review before you decide whether to ship it—especially useful for secondhand products and platforms without official authentication. Contact customer service to confirm the fee.

Requesting Consolidation: What Can and Cannot Be Combined

After multiple orders have arrived, select “Request Consolidation” in your account to combine them with one click. The system automatically estimates the consolidated weight, volume, and shipping cost. Consolidation with HowBridge is free.

Can Be Consolidated

  • General household goods, clothing, accessories, and 3C electronics accessories (excluding batteries)
  • Cosmetics (liquids ≤ 100ml can be combined; liquids > 100ml must ship separately)
  • Shelf-stable foods (cookies, snacks, tea, and candy)
  • Household goods, stationery, and toys

Cannot Be Consolidated (Must Ship Separately)

  • Products containing lithium batteries (IATA regulations require separate air freight)
  • Liquids > 100ml (toner, perfume, and alcoholic beverages)
  • Fragile items (glass and ceramics require a wooden crate)
  • Meat and fresh food (prohibited from import into Taiwan)
  • Products labeled as “dangerous goods/controlled goods requiring approval”

How to Choose Ocean Freight, Sea Express, or Air Freight

The three methods have different prices and transit times. General and special cargo use the same rates, with no minimum charge:

Shipping MethodRateTransit TimeBest For
Ocean FreightStarts at NT$25/kg or NT$150/cu ft; quoted by product7–14 business daysHeavy goods, household items, bulk shipments, and non-urgent orders
Sea ExpressNT$50/unit5–10 business daysThe best balance for most consumer products
Air FreightNT$100/kg3–5 business daysUrgent shipments, lightweight goods, 3C electronics, and cosmetics
Commercial Sea ExpressCustom quote5–10 business daysLarge wholesale shipments and commercial imports

※ Ocean freight is quote-based, and unit prices vary by product. Contact customer service for a quote. The default ocean freight value in the online calculator is for estimation only.

How Shipping Costs Are Calculated (Three Different Rules)

⚠️ The Most Common Misunderstanding: Assuming All Three Methods Use the Greater of Actual Weight and Volumetric Weight

Only sea express is calculated this way. Air freight ignores volume entirely and uses actual weight only; ocean freight is charged in 才 (cubic feet) and compares the entire batch, rather than each parcel. Using the wrong formula overestimates air freight for lightweight, bulky goods and underestimates ocean freight for large-volume goods.

MethodHow Chargeable Weight Is CalculatedSurcharge
Ocean FreightVolume is measured in 才 (cubic feet): length × width × height (cm) ÷ 28316. The higher of the total actual-weight charge and total volumetric charge for the same batch is used, with the calculation repeated after parcels are combined.None
Sea ExpressVolumetric weight (kg) = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 10000; the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight is the chargeable weight, which is rounded up to the next whole kilogram. When actual weight is below 10 kg, add NT$100 (small-parcel delivery surcharge)
Air FreightActual weight only; volume is not counted, rounded up to the next whole kilogram. When chargeable weight is below 5 kg, add NT$100

Calculation Example

A box of clothing with an actual weight of 3 kg and dimensions of 40×30×20 cm: volumetric weight = 40×30×20 ÷ 10000 = 2.4 kg.
By sea express: chargeable weight is max(3, 2.4) = 3 kg → 3 × NT$50 = NT$150. Because the actual weight is below 10 kg, add NT$100, for a total of NT$250.
By air freight: volume is ignored, so chargeable weight = 3 kg → 3 × NT$100 = NT$300. Because the chargeable weight is below 5 kg, add NT$100, for a total of NT$400.

Do Not Overlook the Taiwan Leg

The shipping costs above do not include the oversize surcharge for final-mile delivery in Taiwan. When a parcel exceeds 10 才 (cubic feet) or 40 kg, Hsinchu Logistics charges an additional tiered fee based on the destination city or county and the volume/weight. This applies to both sea express and air freight. Confirm this fee in advance for large furniture and appliances.

Want to calculate it now? Enter the weight and dimensions in the official shipping calculator. It uses the same data source as the actual invoice.

※ If value-added service fees change, the invoice prevails. Ask customer service about any uncertain item before placing an order.

EZ WAY Identity Verification and Warehouse Dispatch

First-time importers must complete EZ WAY identity verification (Citizen Digital Certificate/NHI card reader/mobile number verification). Once complete, the system automatically fills in your national ID number for the customs declaration when you request dispatch from the consolidation warehouse.

Parcels without completed EZ WAY verification will be held at customs for more than 7 days and may ultimately be returned. HowBridge provides customer service in 14 languages to help new residents complete verification.

Taiwan Customs Clearance Process

After the consolidated box is dispatched from Shenzhen, an AEO-certified partner customs broker handles it:

1

Manifest Arrival

Ocean freight arrives at Keelung/Kaohsiung; air freight arrives at Taoyuan/Kaohsiung

2

Bonded Warehouse Entry

Registered at the bonded warehouse

3

Customs Declaration

The customs broker submits the EZ WAY-linked data

4

Inspection

Selected shipments take about 1–3 days; unselected shipments are released in about 1 day

5

Delivery

Delivered to your door, or sent to a designated convenience store for pickup

For a more detailed schedule, see how long Taiwan customs clearance takes. The recipient is responsible for import duty and business tax, which the carrier collects in cash upon delivery.

How to Pay Your Freight Bill: Methods and Full Process

Once your parcels have been consolidated and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch. You can settle it online by card or bank transfer; a successful payment clears the bill automatically, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. Below are the payment methods currently available, every step of the process, and what online payment on this site may be used for.

Online payment covers freight service fees only

Online payment on this site is used solely to pay consolidated freight and related logistics service fees (international freight, forwarding, domestic delivery, customs clearance and warehousing-related service fees). We do not collect payment for your goods, we do not pay sellers on your behalf, and we are not a party to your transaction with the seller. Payment for items bought on Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Pinduoduo or any other platform must still be made to the seller through that platform as usual. We charge only for the logistics service of moving your goods from the warehouse to you.

Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Taiwan Pay, E.SUN Wallet, ATM transfer and convenience-store code payment are collected through NewebPay; LINE Pay is handled by LINE Pay itself. We do not add any payment processing fee. The amount shown is exactly what you pay. Mobile wallets have device requirements: web-based Apple Pay works only in Safari, Google Pay needs Android or Chrome, and Samsung Pay needs a Samsung device or Samsung Internet; on unsupported browsers the checkout simply does not show that option. JKOPay is contracted directly with JKOPay.

Convenience-store barcode payment and WebATM are not yet available. Please use one of the methods above for now.

How online payment works

  1. A freight bill is issued after your parcels ship

Once your parcels have been received at the consolidation warehouse, packed and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch, covering international freight, forwarding and domestic delivery charges.

  2. Sign in and open "My Bills"

Sign in to your account and open My Bills to see the amount due, the number of parcels and a line-by-line breakdown of the charges before you pay.

  3. Tap "Pay Now" to open the secure checkout

The checkout shows the parcels being settled and the total due once more, and lists the available payment methods. Amounts are always calculated on the server, so they never vary by device or browser.

  4. Choose a payment method and complete payment

You are then taken to the payment page for the method you chose. Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay are completed on the NewebPay page; choosing LINE Pay takes you to the LINE Pay payment page, where you simply confirm in the LINE app; choosing JKOPay takes you to the JKOPay payment page, where you confirm in the JKOPay app or scan the QR Code; choosing ATM transfer gives you a dedicated virtual account, bank code and payment deadline; choosing convenience-store code payment gives you a payment code to print the slip at a store kiosk and pay at the counter. Please complete non-instant payments before the deadline. If you choose Taiwan Pay or E.SUN Wallet, a QR code appears — pay by scanning it in the matching app; the page will not return to our site afterwards, and your bill updates once the payment notification arrives.

  5. The bill clears automatically

On successful payment the gateway notifies us immediately and the bill switches to paid, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. ATM transfers update automatically once the bank posts the funds.

Payment security and things to note

All payments are completed on the NewebPay or LINE Pay payment page. We never receive or store your full card number or security code, and every connection is TLS-encrypted. If you have paid but the bill has not updated yet, please do not pay again: methods that are not instant take time to clear by design. Contact customer service and we will check it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a consolidation warehouse?
A consolidation warehouse is an overseas receiving and transit warehouse run by a consolidation provider. It receives packages from different sellers on your behalf, stores and combines them, and then ships them back to Taiwan in a single batch with a single customs declaration. HowBridge's consolidation warehouse is located in Bao'an, Shenzhen (our own warehouse), with free storage for 366 days after arrival and free consolidation.
What does “arrived at warehouse” mean? How soon will I be notified?
“Arrived at warehouse” means the package has reached the consolidation warehouse and has been scanned, photographed, weighed, measured for volume, and registered to your account. Once check-in is complete, HowBridge notifies you via LINE, and you can see the arrival time, photos, actual weight, and volume under “My Packages” in the member dashboard. The 366-day free storage period starts from the arrival date.
What is the difference between a consolidation warehouse and direct shipping?
Direct shipping starts at about RMB 80+ per item, and each item is declared to customs separately. A consolidation warehouse can combine multiple orders into one box with a single declaration for the whole box, cutting shipping costs by 30–50% once they are spread out. Your items can also be inspected at the warehouse first and repacked for extra protection.
How do I fill in the warehouse address?
Enter “好运器” as the name, 13603054302 as the phone number, and 518103 as the postal code. For the delivery address, log in to 0523.tw and copy it with one click on the home page—it already ends with your unique identification code (e.g., …B座3A11-H□□□□库位). Because Chinese e-commerce shipping labels mask the name and phone number but not the address, the identification code must appear at the end of the address for automatic account matching. The old format, “address followed by your Taiwan mobile number,” can still be matched.
Is shipping always calculated using “the greater of actual weight and volume”?
No, the three methods follow different rules. Only sea express uses the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (÷10000), rounded up to the next whole kilogram. Air freight counts actual weight only and ignores volume entirely. Ocean freight is charged per cai (÷28316), and the higher of the batch's total actual-weight charge and total volume charge applies, recalculated after consolidation.
Is there a delivery surcharge for shipments under 10 kg?
For sea express, a NT$100 surcharge applies when the actual weight is under 10 kg; for air freight, a NT$100 surcharge applies when the chargeable weight is under 5 kg; ocean freight has no such surcharge. The basis and thresholds differ between the two, so don't mix them up.
Which items can be consolidated?
Daily necessities, clothing, electronics accessories (excluding batteries), dry foods, and household goods, stationery, and toys can all be consolidated. Items containing lithium batteries, liquids over 100ml, fragile items (which require a wooden crate), fresh meat and produce, and dangerous goods or items requiring import permits cannot be consolidated.
How long can packages be stored? Is there an extra charge for consolidation?
Storage is free for 366 days, and consolidation is also free. If your items arrive in separate batches, you can wait until everything has arrived and ship it all together at no extra charge. Wooden crate reinforcement starts at NT$300 per box, with the actual amount confirmed item by item by our accounting team.
What should I watch out for when shipping large furniture or appliances?
In addition to the international shipping charge, there is an oversize fee for the last mile in Taiwan: when a package exceeds 10 cai or 40 kg, HCT Logistics charges an extra fee tiered by city/county and by cai/weight. This applies to both sea express and air freight. Before ordering large items, we recommend asking customer service to estimate this fee.
Do I need to fill in multiple orders to the same address separately? Can I track shipments after dispatch?
Your member address can be used an unlimited number of times. Just enter each courier tracking number when you submit a pre-alert, and the system will automatically assign the packages to your account. After dispatch, you can check the three stages—dispatch, customs clearance, and delivery—in real time under “My Packages” in the member dashboard, with a LINE notification at each stage.
What happens if a package is lost or damaged?
Photos are taken as a record on arrival (with extra photos if the outer box is damaged). HowBridge does not offer declared-value coverage (cargo insurance). Compensation standards: for a lost package, compensation is up to three times the shipping charge for that item; damage to fragile items or items containing batteries is not compensated; other damage is assessed case by case, and you must keep the invoice and unboxing video. Customs declaration is handled in cooperation with AEO-certified partner customs brokers.
This page explains how to use the consolidation warehouse. Rates and billing rules are synchronized with the backend implementation of the official 0523.tw calculator. Ocean freight is quote-based, and the actual invoice based on measurements taken after arrival at warehouse prevails. The Taiwan-leg oversize surcharge is calculated according to Hsinchu Logistics’ published rates. Import taxes and fees are assessed under Taiwan Customs Administration regulations.
