Free One-Page Website for HowBridge Members

The short answer: how is the HowBridge member website free?

Any HowBridge member with at least 1 freight reward point (1 point for every NT$100 of freight) can apply for a free one-page website at 0523.tw/m/ plus your own personal code. If you have paid freight within the last 35 days, the site stays free; if more than 35 days pass without a freight payment, you pay NT$300 (including sales tax) to keep it online for another month. AI drafts the site, our staff review it before it goes live, and the complete code is licensed to members for use, with copyright belonging to HowBridge.

What is a one-page website, and who is it for?

A one-page website puts your shop introduction, services and prices, proof of trust, and contact details all on a single web page. Customers just scroll down to read everything, then call you or add you on LINE. It suits small shops, online sellers, and tradespeople who make house calls: businesses with a short list of services that close most deals by phone or LINE.

A social media page and a website don't compete: the page handles day-to-day interaction, while the website clearly and permanently states who you are, what you sell, and how to reach you.

What are the rules for the free HowBridge member website?

There are just three rules: if you currently have at least 1 available freight reward point, you can apply, and applying doesn't use up any points; if you have paid freight within the last 35 days, your site stays online for free; if more than 35 days pass without a freight payment, you pay NT$300 (including sales tax) to keep it online for another month.

An e-invoice for the monthly fee is issued using the invoice method set in your member center. Within 7 days of payment, you can request a full refund through our LINE Official Account @0523tw; no refunds are given after 7 days. If you complete a shipment after paying the monthly fee, the fee already paid is not refunded, and the site stays online until whichever is later: the end of the paid period or 35 days after your most recent freight payment. For the full rules, see the HowBridge Member Website Terms of Service.

What does a HowBridge member website look like?

Below are three examples built under the member website rules: a dessert shop, an online goods shop, and a plumbing and electrical business. All three shops are fictional. You can open each one to see the full site, view its code, and download it to practice editing with AI.

How do I apply for a HowBridge member website?

Applying takes five steps: log in, write down what you want on your site, upload materials or a voice recording, wait for the AI draft and staff review, then get your code once the site is live. How long it takes from submission to going live depends on how many applications are in the queue.

  1. Log in and check your pointsLog in to your HowBridge account and this page will show your current points. With at least 1 point, you can apply.
  2. Write down what you want on your siteYour shop name, your line of business, the services and prices you want to show, and the questions customers often ask. The more specific you are, the closer the first version will be to what you want.
  3. Upload materials or record an explanationYou can upload photos, your logo, price lists, and certificates. If you'd rather not type, just record your voice, up to 10 minutes per clip.
  4. AI drafts it, staff review itAI lays out a one-page website from your information, and our staff check that it doesn't break the usage rules (forms, payments, unverified LINE accounts, or clearly false or illegal content) before it goes live.
  5. Go live and get your codeYour address is 0523.tw/m/ plus your code. On the "My Website" page you can copy or download the complete code in one click.

How do I edit my own website with ChatGPT or Claude?

Editing your HowBridge member website takes three steps: open ChatGPT or Claude, paste an instruction saying what to change along with your site's full code, then save the new code the AI gives back into index.html. Every section of the code has a Chinese comment in front of it, marking where to edit if you want to change that part.

  1. Download your site's index.html and put it in a folder on your computer. Double-click it to open it in your browser.
  2. Open chatgpt.com or claude.ai (a free account is fine). First write what you want to change, then paste the full code after it and send.
  3. When the AI gives you the complete new code, copy it over index.html and save. Refresh your browser to see the result.
  4. When you're happy with it, paste the new version back on the "My Website" page and submit it for review. Once our staff confirm everything is fine, it goes live.

Instructions you can copy and paste

Below is my website's HTML. Please change the phone number to 【your phone number】 and leave everything else untouched. Give me the complete HTML when you're done.
Please add an "FAQ" section below "Services". The questions and answers are: 【paste your Q&A】. Keep the layout consistent with the rest of the site.
Please check whether this page has any layout problems on mobile, text that is too small, or buttons that are too small, and fix them.

Ask the AI to change only one thing at a time. Before each change, save a backup copy (for example, index-1101.html) so you can start over if something breaks. Before pasting anything into AI, delete any personal information you don't want made public (such as your national ID number or private mobile number).

What research says: A controlled experiment with 69 programming beginners found that with help from an AI code generator, task completion was 1.15 times higher and scores were 1.8 times higher, and their later performance when modifying code on their own did not get worse (Kazemitabaar et al., 2023, ACM CHI). However, the participants were students aged 10 to 17. A Taiwanese study also found that how clearly people explain what they want to the AI affects the results (賴譽毫, 2025, master's thesis, National Taiwan Normal University). That is why every sample instruction on this page follows the format "what to change + leave everything else alone + give me the complete code." Other research points out that whether micro-business owners themselves understand digital tools strongly affects how well their digital marketing works (Nikunen et al., 2017).
Policy background: According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs' 2025 White Paper on Small and Medium Enterprises, about 7.4% of SMEs have adopted AI (including those planning to), and the biggest barrier for those that haven't is "no clear use case yet" (63.9%). The Ministry of Digital Affairs is promoting AI for every trade, and Article 4 of the Artificial Intelligence Basic Act, promulgated and effective on January 14, 2026, also calls for education and training and for narrowing the digital divide. Helping members start using AI by editing their own website is exactly that kind of clear use case.

What should your website include so customers trust you?

When customers decide whether a website is trustworthy, they look for confirmation that the shop really exists, that someone is responsible for it, and that they can reach you. A one-page website should above all include: your real business name and address, a phone number that actually connects, genuine years of experience or licenses, service prices, photos of past work, and answers to the questions customers often ask.

Basic information

Shop name, owner, business address, opening hours, and phone number.

Services and prices

Your top three services, reference prices or price ranges, and how the service works.

Proof of trust

Years in business, licenses, awards, media coverage, and screenshots of Google reviews. Only include what you really have.

Cases and results

Before-and-after comparisons, photos of your work, and customer feedback they have agreed to make public.

FAQ

Write the 5 to 10 questions customers ask most as Q&A. It can save you a lot of repeat phone calls.

If you don't have it, don't include it. Our staff do a basic check before the site goes live; if they find content that is clearly false or can't be substantiated, they will ask you to change it or will not put the site live. Members remain responsible for the truthfulness of their website content, and HowBridge does not endorse members' products or services.
What research says: A large-scale Stanford study on website credibility found that showing there is a real business behind a site and demonstrating expertise raise its credibility, while an "amateurish" feel lowers it (Fogg et al., 2001, ACM CHI). In a follow-up study with more than 2,500 participants, users most often mentioned the site's design and look (46.1% of comments), followed by how well the information was structured and focused (Fogg et al., 2003). The Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility also recommend "show that there's a real organization behind your site" and "make it easy to contact you." These studies describe associations; they do not guarantee higher sales.

Why can't member websites have forms, and why does LINE need a verified account?

HowBridge member websites live under the 0523.tw address. To stop anyone from using that address for scam sites, member websites don't run JavaScript and can't include forms that collect data, and the LINE Official Account button only accepts LINE verified accounts (blue or green badge), each one checked by our staff.

  • No forms: customers will never enter usernames, passwords, credit card, or ID numbers on a member website. To get in touch, they call or use LINE.
  • No JavaScript: the site can only display content, and visitors can't enter or submit data on it. The site can display external images; use pure CSS for animations and menus.
  • The footer always says "This website is run by a member and is not an official HowBridge website." Members cannot remove it.
  • The LINE button is only added for official accounts that our staff have checked and that show a blue or green verification badge next to their name (commonly called the "blue shield" or "green shield"; from April 2026 shown as a blue or green check mark). Regular accounts without a badge cannot be added.

According to LINE's official explanation, a verified account means the organization is a government-approved business, shop, or organization and has passed LINE's document review; a regular account can be opened by any individual without review. From April 1, 2026, regular accounts no longer show the badge commonly called the "gray shield," and verified accounts now show a blue or green check mark badge. Verification certifies the business identity behind the account; it does not mean LINE vouches for the quality of the service. To learn how to tell them apart, see LINE Official Account blue shield verification: 3 steps to spot fake customer service.

Why we are this careful: On December 30, 2025, the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the National Police Agency (Ministry of the Interior) announced a crackdown on "one-page ad" scams involving 14 logistics companies, which had paid NT$230 million in ad fees on others' behalf. Warning signs of one-page scams highlighted by the police include no company address, no customer service phone number, and only a LINE contact. HowBridge member websites are also one-page sites, but they take no payments, have no forms, only show verified LINE accounts, and ask members to state their real shop name and contact details. Taiwan's Fraud Crime Hazard Prevention Act requires online advertising platforms above a certain size to verify and disclose advertisers' identities and remove fraudulent ads (Articles 30 to 32). HowBridge is not on the Ministry of Digital Affairs' list of regulated platforms; the measures above are ones we have adopted voluntarily, following the same spirit.

FAQ

Is the HowBridge member website really free?
Applying is free, and applying doesn't deduct any points. If you have paid freight within the last 35 days, your site stays online for free; only if more than 35 days pass without a freight payment do you need to pay NT$300 (including sales tax) to keep it online for another month.
Where is the website hosted? Can I use my own domain?
The site is at 0523.tw/m/ plus your personal code. You can also put the downloaded index.html on your own host and use your own domain, but only for your own shop, and you must keep the HowBridge copyright notice at the top of the code; the copyright to the code still belongs to HowBridge.
Can I sell my member website to someone else, or use it to build websites for others?
No. By providing ideas and materials, members receive a license to use the site for their own shop; the copyright to the website's design, layout, and code belongs to HowBridge. It cannot be sold, transferred, or rented to others, or used to build websites for other people or as freelance portfolio work. For the full rules, see Who owns the website's copyright?
Can I edit the website if I can't code?
Yes. Tell ChatGPT or Claude in plain words what you want to change, paste in the full code, and it will give you back an edited version. Every section of the code has a Chinese comment in front of it showing what you can change.
How do I get the version I edited with AI onto the live site?
Go to "My Website," paste the new code back in, and submit it for review. Once our staff confirm there are no forms, no payments, and no false content, they will put it live for you.
Can the website take payments, include forms, or embed videos?
No. To prevent fraud, member websites cannot take payments, cannot include forms, do not run JavaScript, and cannot embed other websites. Please turn videos and maps into link buttons instead.
My LINE Official Account doesn't have a blue or green verification badge. Can I still apply?
Yes, you can apply. The site just won't show a LINE button, and customers can call you instead. Once your account passes LINE verification, let us know and we'll add it.
Can I get a refund after paying the monthly fee?
Within 7 days of payment, you can request a full refund through our LINE Official Account @0523tw; no refunds are given after 7 days. If you complete a shipment after paying the monthly fee, the fee already paid is not refunded, and the site stays online until whichever is later: the end of the paid period or 35 days after your most recent freight payment.
If more than 35 days pass with no shipment and no monthly fee paid, will my website be deleted?
Not right away. The site is paused first, and its content is kept for 6 months; if you complete a shipment and pay freight, or pay the NT$300 monthly fee, during that time, the site comes back automatically. Once it has been paused for 6 months, the site content, materials, and voice recordings are deleted. Before deletion, your "My Website" page will show the deletion date, so we recommend downloading your code to keep a copy.
Will my member website show up in Google search?
In phase 1, search engines will not be allowed to index member sites. You share the site's address with customers directly.
