Complete Guide to W Concept Package Forwarding to Taiwan

Korea Route in Preparation — Not Yet Available

HowBridge does not currently offer or operate any Korea-to-Taiwan freight forwarding, purchasing-agent, or payment-agent service. The service does not currently exist, and there is no usable Korean, Seoul, or Incheon warehouse address, no official rates, and no guaranteed transit times. Any warehouse names, shipping fees, or transit times mentioned elsewhere on this page are general market information only and do not represent services offered by this website. They must not be used to fill in a shipping address or place an order. If this route becomes available in the future, only the official website announcement and the terms then in effect will apply.

Quick Answer in 30 Seconds W Concept (wconcept.co.kr) is one of Korea's leading online retailers for designer brands. Taiwanese credit cards are accepted, but most brands do not ship directly to Taiwan, so you need a domestic Korean delivery address before forwarding your purchases to Taiwan. ⚠️ HowBridge does NOT currently operate a Korea route. Readers needing forwarding should contact an operator that does operate a Korea route to obtain that operator's warehouse address, terms, and per-item quote. For taxes, shipments with a dutiable value of NT$2,000 or less are tax-free; above that threshold, the entire shipment is taxed at an apparel duty rate of approximately 10.5-12%, plus 5% business tax.

What Is W Concept?

W Concept (Korean site: wconcept.co.kr / US site: us.wconcept.com) is one of Korea's leading online designer-brand platforms, featuring thousands of Korean and international designer brands. It has been part of SSG.COM, the e-commerce division of Korea's Shinsegae Group, since 2021 and is positioned as the "Korean Net-a-Porter / Farfetch." Complete seasonal collections of Korean womenswear, bags, and accessories often debut here.

📌 W Concept Highlights
As one of the largest destinations for Korean designer brands, it carries many items, exclusive colors, and designer collaborations that are unavailable in Taiwan. Shoppers seeking complete collections or early-release items will generally need to use the W Concept Korean site and a package forwarding service.

Why Forward W Concept Purchases to Taiwan?

Korean Prices Are Often Lower Than Taiwan Boutique Prices

Prices for the same items on the Korean site are often significantly lower than at Taiwanese boutiques and authorized retailers, with even deeper discounts during end-of-season SALE events (actual price differences vary by brand and exchange rate; examples are provided in the brand cards on this page).

Exclusive Items and Complete Collections

Exclusive MARDI MERCREDI colors and early-release Andersson Bell items are often available only on the Korean site. Taiwanese retailers carry limited selections, while the W Concept Korean site offers complete SS / FW collections.

Checkout with Taiwanese Credit Cards

The Korean site accepts international credit cards (Visa / Master / Amex, charged in KRW), allowing shoppers to place orders without a Korean bank account (subject to the payment methods actually displayed at checkout).

Save More by Consolidating Multiple Items

Most brands do not ship directly to Taiwan, or charge high international shipping rates for single items. Instead, receive multiple items at an address within Korea, consolidate them, and forward them together; the average shipping cost per item is usually much lower.

Protection Through Compliant Customs Declarations

Using a legitimate forwarding service and declaring shipments honestly under your own name provides EZ WAY identity verification and transparent taxes and fees. You may also apply for a customs refund following a return, exchange, or online shopping scam under the Taiwan Customs Act (see the tax refund section below).

W Concept Package Forwarding in 4 Steps

  1. Register with HowBridge for Free

First, check whether the item can be shipped directly to Taiwan by entering a Taiwanese address on the wconcept.co.kr checkout page. If direct shipping is not supported, you will need an address within Korea to receive it—HowBridge has not opened a Korea route yet. Ask a forwarding operator that has opened one for that operator's official warehouse address, recipient format, terms of service, and per-item quote.

  2. Place Your Order on W Concept

Place your order on wconcept.co.kr (Korean site) or us.wconcept.com (US site). At checkout, enter the address within Korea provided by your chosen forwarding operator as the shipping address. Be sure to enter the recipient name and phone number in the exact format specified by that operator so the parcel can be correctly assigned to your account.

  3. Parcel Arrives at a Consolidation Warehouse within Korea

W Concept usually delivers to an address within Korea in 1-3 天 (domestic Korean delivery). Most forwarding operators provide parcel photos, dimensions, and weight after arrival at the warehouse; actual services vary by operator.

  4. Consolidate and Forward Your Package to Taiwan

Choose consolidated sea freight (more economical but slower) or air freight EMS (faster and suitable for urgent or high-value items) to send the parcel to Taiwan, complete EZ WAY real-name authentication, and wait for delivery. Shipping costs and transit times are based on the quote from your chosen operator. Use our import tax calculator to estimate import taxes and fees in Taiwan.

Korean Size Conversion Chart

Korean sizes generally run half to one size smaller than Taiwanese sizes. For the most accurate fit, check the measurements in centimeters on each brand's Size Chart before ordering.

CategoryKorean KRTaiwan TWReference (cm / EU)
WomenswearS / 44XSBust 82-86
WomenswearM / 55SBust 86-90
WomenswearL / 66MBust 90-94
WomenswearXL / 77LBust 94-98
Footwear235Size 23.5Approximately EU 36
Footwear240Size 24Approximately EU 37
Footwear245Size 24.5Approximately EU 38

Practical advice: ① Korean womenswear tends to have narrower shoulders and a higher waistline, so first-time buyers should consider choosing one size larger than usual ② Check product reviews for comparisons of "height / weight / size worn" ③ For footwear, using measurements in centimeters (mm) is the most reliable approach ④ Replacement shipments for items that do not fit may qualify for duty-free import under the Taiwan Customs Act (see the next section).

How Are Customs Duties Calculated? What Happens to Taxes on Returns and Exchanges?

The tax rules for forwarding apparel from Korea to Taiwan are straightforward. Remember three things: the tax-free threshold, applicable tax rates, and your right to a refund.

Calculation example: 1 synthetic-fiber dress priced at ₩200,000 (approximately NT$4,800) + a shipping fee of NT$200 gives a customs value of approximately NT$5,000 → 12% customs duty ≈ NT$600, business tax of 5% × (5,000 + 600) ≈ NT$280, for total taxes of approximately NT$880 and a final cost of approximately NT$5,900. This is usually still lower than the price of the same item at a Taiwanese boutique (the actual tax amount is subject to customs assessment).

Wrong Size or Online Shopping Scam? Two Ways to Obtain Tax Relief

Duty-free replacement shipments for returns or exchanges: if imported goods are found to be defective or the wrong size and the seller provides compensation or replacement goods, the replacement goods may be imported duty-free under Taiwan Customs Act Article 51. An application must be submitted within 1 month after the original goods are released, and the original goods must be re-exported or returned. ② Tax refunds for online shopping scams: if you discover that you were scammed only after paying the taxes, you may apply for a refund of overpaid taxes under Taiwan Customs Act Article 17, Paragraph 5 by submitting a police report within 6 months after the goods are released.

All forwarded imports require an authorized customs declaration through EZ WAY identity verification. Declare the purchase price honestly, as customs assesses taxes based on the customs value. Never underreport the value, as detected underreporting will result in back taxes and penalties.

W Concept Taiwan Frequently Asked Questions

Does W Concept Ship Directly to Taiwan? Do I Need a Package Forwarding Service?
The W Concept Korean site (wconcept.co.kr) accepts Taiwanese credit cards, but only some brands offer international shipping directly to Taiwan. International shipping for a single item costs about ₩30,000-50,000 (approximately NT$700-1,200, depending on the brand). When direct shipping is unavailable, forwarding is required: have the items sent to an address within Korea, then consolidate and forward them to Taiwan. For multiple items, the total consolidated shipping cost is usually significantly lower than shipping each item directly. HowBridge has not opened a Korea route yet, so please contact an operator that has opened one for the Korea leg. Some items on the W Concept US site (us.wconcept.com) can also be shipped directly.
What Payment Methods Does W Concept Accept? Can I Use a Taiwanese Credit Card?
Common payment methods on the W Concept Korean site include: ① international credit cards Visa / Master / Amex (Taiwanese cards are accepted, transactions are charged in KRW, and your card issuer converts the amount at the day's exchange rate) ② PayPal ③ Korean local payment services (KAKAO / TOSS, which require a Korean account). Some high-value purchases may trigger risk controls and require verification. Your English name should match the name on your credit card. Actual available options are subject to those displayed at checkout.
What Are the 7 Must-Buy Brands on W Concept Korea?
7 popular choices among Taiwanese shoppers: ① Andersson Bell (eclectic preppy style) ② ADER ERROR (minimalist streetwear) ③ MARDI MERCREDI (Daisy prints) ④ Recto (gender-neutral elegance) ⑤ MATIN KIM (everyday minimalism) ⑥ STAND OIL (Korea's favorite bags) ⑦ low classic (minimalist luxury). Many exclusive colors and complete collections are available only on the Korean site and cannot be purchased through Taiwanese retailers.
Are W Concept Clothing Sizes Different from Taiwanese Sizes?
Korean sizes generally run half to one size smaller than Taiwanese sizes: S (44) ≈ TW XS, M (55) ≈ TW S, and L (66) ≈ TW M. Most brand pages provide a Size Chart with bust / waist / garment length measurements in centimeters. Measure clothing you already wear and compare the measurements; for footwear, use the measurements in centimeters (mm). First-time buyers should consider choosing one size larger than usual.
How Are W Concept Package Forwarding Fees and Customs Duties Calculated?
Shipping costs depend on the quote from your chosen forwarding operator (sea freight is more economical but slower; air freight EMS is faster). For customs duties, shipments with a dutiable value (item price + shipping) of NT$2,000 or less are tax-exempt. If the value exceeds that amount, the entire shipment is taxed; depending on the material, clothing is subject to about 10.5-12% customs duty + 5% business tax. Note that the exemption no longer applies after a person imports more than 6 次 within a six-month period. Example: a ₩200,000 dress has a dutiable value of about NT$5,000, with total taxes and fees of approximately NT$880.
Can I Recover Taxes I Have Already Paid If I Return or Exchange an Item That Does Not Fit?
Yes, there are two options: ① replacement goods sent as compensation or in exchange by the seller may be imported duty-free under Taiwan Customs Act Article 51 (apply within 1 month after the original goods are released, and re-export or return the original goods); ② if you paid taxes on an online purchase that turns out to be a scam, you may apply for a tax refund under Taiwan Customs Act Article 17, Paragraph 5 by submitting a police report within 6 months after the goods are released. In both cases, ask your package forwarding provider to help prepare the required documents and submit the application to customs.
