The Complete 2026 Beginner's Guide to Taiwan Parcel Consolidation: Shipping Cost Calculation, Volumetric Weight & Taobao Forwarding Made Simple
⚡ 30-Second Answer: What Is Taiwan Parcel Consolidation? How Is It Priced? How Much Can You Save?

Taiwan parcel consolidation means having items from multiple overseas stores shipped first to a consolidator's overseas warehouse, then packed together and sent back to Taiwan in one sea or air shipment — priced as "the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight × rate." When the customs value is ≤ NT$2,000, it is exempt from import duty and business tax.

What Is Taiwan Parcel Consolidation? How It Works

Parcel consolidation (consolidated shipping) is the core way to save on shipping when buying online across borders: when you order from an overseas store, you don't ship directly to Taiwan — instead you ship to the overseas warehouse address the consolidator provides. Once your items arrive, the consolidator holds them for you, combines multiple parcels, reinforces the packaging, and then ships everything back to Taiwan in one sea or air shipment of your choosing, finally handling customs clearance and home delivery. The whole process has 4 steps:

1Get the Shenzhen Consolidation Warehouse Address and Enter It at Checkout

You can copy our Shenzhen consolidation warehouse delivery details from the HowBridge homepage. When checking out on Taobao, Pinduoduo, 1688, Douyin, or other marketplaces, simply enter the warehouse address as the shipping address.

2Seller ships to the overseas warehouse and it is checked in

The seller delivers your goods to the consolidation warehouse, where the consolidator signs for them, photographs them, and logs them in, offering a free storage period so you can wait for your other parcels to arrive.

3Combine, pack, and choose a shipping method

In your dashboard, select the parcels to combine; the system quotes based on "actual weight vs. volumetric weight," and you choose sea freight / sea express / air freight. The more you combine, the lower the shared shipping cost.

4Customs clearance in Taiwan and home delivery

After your shipment arrives in Taiwan and clears customs (EZWay real-name authentication is required), taxes and duties will be calculated. It will then be delivered to your door by HCT Logistics, or you can choose pickup at a 7-11 or FamilyMart store (up to 4.9 kg net for the whole consolidated bag). Shipments with a customs value of NT$2,000 or less are tax-exempt.

How to Enter the Shenzhen Consolidation Warehouse Delivery Details

This is the only step in the entire process that requires precise input. Incorrect information may prevent your parcel from being matched to your account or cause the seller to refuse shipment. Enter the details exactly as shown below:

FieldInformation to EnterInstructions
Recipient Name好運器Enter the warehouse name directly, not your own name
Recipient Phone Number13603054302Enter the warehouse phone number, not your Taiwan mobile number
Shipping Address深圳市宝安区福海街道桥头社区宝安大道6261号彤鑫科技大厦B座3A11-H□□□□库位 (H□□□□ = your personal ID code; it is filled in automatically when you one-tap copy the address from the 0523.tw homepage after logging in)Enter "好运器" as the recipient, and use the personal address one-tap copied from the 0523.tw homepage as the delivery address (it ends with an H-code ID for automatic matching).
Postal Code518103
Why enter "好运器" as the name and keep the personal ID code at the end of the address?

On Chinese e-commerce platforms (Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD, Xiaohongshu, etc.), the shipping label automatically masks the name and phone number with asterisks (e.g. 王**, 136****4302) — only the address is never masked. So simply enter "好运器" as the name and the warehouse phone number 13603054302 as the phone; for the delivery address, log in to 0523.tw and one-tap copy it from the homepage — it already ends with your personal ID code (starting with H), which the warehouse uses to match parcels to your account automatically, so do not delete or change it. (The old format — a Taiwan mobile number at the end of the address — still works for matching.)

These Mistakes Will Cause Problems
  • Entering your Taiwan mobile number in the “Phone Number” field → Most Chinese sellers will refuse to ship the order because domestic delivery in China requires a Chinese phone number.
  • The personal ID code is missing from the end of the address (and no Taiwan mobile number was noted either) → the parcel is unidentified and must be claimed separately.
  • Entering your own Chinese name as the recipient → Once the shipping label masks the name, the warehouse will be unable to identify the parcel.

※ If the warehouse details change, refer to the latest delivery information posted on the HowBridge homepage.

How Are Consolidation Costs Calculated? (Volumetric Weight Is Key)

Consolidation cost = chargeable weight × rate per kilogram. The chargeable weight is the greater of the "actual weight" or the "volumetric (dimensional) weight" — this is where beginners most often get it wrong. Light but bulky items (pillows, lampshades, plush toys) are almost always charged by volumetric weight.

Sea freight volume = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 28317 = cai (Taiwanese volume unit)Sea express volume (kg) = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 10000; air freight / air express counts actual weight only, not volume
MethodReference RateTransit Time (China route)Best For

How to Choose a Taiwan Consolidator? 6 Key Criteria

  1. Overseas warehouse locations + free storage days: the more warehouses and the longer the free storage, the easier it is to wait and combine shipments.
  2. Transparent rates and volumetric rules: whether there is a minimum charge, volumetric divisor, or miscellaneous fees — the estimate should be clear.
  3. Combining / reinforcement / insurance: whether fragile items can be reinforced and whether shipping insurance is offered.
  4. Customs clearance and EZWay declaration support: whether they help with real-name verification and customs clearance to reduce hold-ups.
  5. Compensation and customer service: the standards for loss/damage compensation and how quickly support responds.
  6. Genuine reviews: check real user reviews rather than just advertising. See Taiwan Consolidator Recommendations: TOP 7 Compared.

How to Pay Your Freight Bill: Methods and Full Process

Once your parcels have been consolidated and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch. You can settle it online by card or bank transfer; a successful payment clears the bill automatically, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. Below are the payment methods currently available, every step of the process, and what online payment on this site may be used for.

Online payment covers freight service fees only

Online payment on this site is used solely to pay consolidated freight and related logistics service fees (international freight, forwarding, domestic delivery, customs clearance and warehousing-related service fees). We do not collect payment for your goods, we do not pay sellers on your behalf, and we are not a party to your transaction with the seller. Payment for items bought on Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Pinduoduo or any other platform must still be made to the seller through that platform as usual. We charge only for the logistics service of moving your goods from the warehouse to you.

Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Taiwan Pay, E.SUN Wallet, ATM transfer and convenience-store code payment are collected through NewebPay; LINE Pay is handled by LINE Pay itself. We do not add any payment processing fee. The amount shown is exactly what you pay. Mobile wallets have device requirements: web-based Apple Pay works only in Safari, Google Pay needs Android or Chrome, and Samsung Pay needs a Samsung device or Samsung Internet; on unsupported browsers the checkout simply does not show that option.

Convenience-store barcode payment and WebATM are not yet available. Please use one of the methods above for now.

How online payment works

  1. A freight bill is issued after your parcels ship

Once your parcels have been received at the consolidation warehouse, packed and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch, covering international freight, forwarding and domestic delivery charges.

  2. Sign in and open "My Bills"

Sign in to your account and open My Bills to see the amount due, the number of parcels and a line-by-line breakdown of the charges before you pay.

  3. Tap "Pay Now" to open the secure checkout

The checkout shows the parcels being settled and the total due once more, and lists the available payment methods. Amounts are always calculated on the server, so they never vary by device or browser.

  4. Choose a payment method and complete payment

You are then taken to the payment page for the method you chose. Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay are completed on the NewebPay page; choosing LINE Pay takes you to the LINE Pay payment page, where you simply confirm in the LINE app; choosing ATM transfer gives you a dedicated virtual account, bank code and payment deadline; choosing convenience-store code payment gives you a payment code to print the slip at a store kiosk and pay at the counter. Please complete non-instant payments before the deadline. If you choose Taiwan Pay or E.SUN Wallet, a QR code appears — pay by scanning it in the matching app; the page will not return to our site afterwards, and your bill updates once the payment notification arrives.

  5. The bill clears automatically

On successful payment the gateway notifies us immediately and the bill switches to paid, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. ATM transfers update automatically once the bank posts the funds.

Payment security and things to note

All payments are completed on the NewebPay or LINE Pay payment page. We never receive or store your full card number or security code, and every connection is TLS-encrypted. If you have paid but the bill has not updated yet, please do not pay again: methods that are not instant take time to clear by design. Contact customer service and we will check it for you.

Taiwan Parcel Consolidation FAQ

What is Taiwan parcel consolidation, and how does it differ from direct shipping and personal shoppers?
Consolidation means having the items you buy from multiple overseas stores shipped first to the consolidator's overseas warehouse, then packed together and sent back to Taiwan in one sea or air shipment. Direct shipping is when the store ships straight to Taiwan (expensive, can't combine); a personal shopper buys and pays on your behalf (for a service fee). Consolidation's biggest advantages are "combining parcels to share the shipping cost" and "pricing by weight," making it ideal for buying multiple items across multiple stores. HowBridge Logistics only provides consolidation and customs brokerage. We do not offer a personal shopping service, and we do not collect or advance payment for your goods.
How are consolidation costs calculated? What is volumetric weight?
Consolidation is usually priced on the greater of "actual weight" or "volumetric (dimensional) weight" (air freight/air express counts actual weight only). Sea freight volume = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 28317 (cai); sea express volume = ÷ 10000 (kg). Light but bulky items (such as pillows and lamps) are often charged by volumetric weight. At HowBridge rates, sea freight starts from NT$25, sea express is about NT$50/kg, and air freight about NT$100/kg (actual rates follow the live quotes on the official site).
How much can consolidation save on shipping?
Take a single 3 kg parcel: direct store shipping to Taiwan often costs NT$600-1,200, whereas consolidation by sea is about NT$75 (3kg×25) and by air about NT$300. The more items you buy and combine, the better value it is once shared out. The key is to "buy everything at once and combine it together" rather than sending many small shipments.
How do China consolidation and Taobao consolidation work?
When ordering on Taobao, Tmall, Pinduoduo, 1688, JD.com, and the like, enter the consolidator's China warehouse (in Shenzhen, Yiwu, etc.) as the shipping address; the seller ships to the warehouse first, and after combining the parcels in your dashboard you choose sea or air freight back to Taiwan. See The Taobao Consolidation Guide and The China Consolidation Guide.
How long does consolidation take to arrive?
On the China route, sea freight takes about 5-10 days and air freight 2-4 days; on the Japan/Korea route, sea freight 7-14 days and air freight 2-5 days; on the Europe/US route, sea freight about 25-40 days and air freight 5-10 days. Add time for combining parcels and for Taiwan customs clearance and delivery, so it is wise to build in a buffer.
Do I have to pay import duty on consolidation? What is the duty-free allowance?
Postal parcels with an import customs value (goods + shipping + insurance) ≤ NT$2,000 are exempt from import duty and business tax (except tobacco, alcohol, and quota-controlled goods); above that, import duty is charged per the item's tariff schedule (0-10% for most consumer goods) plus 5% business tax. If the same person imports low-value postal parcels more than 6 times within six months, customs may withhold the duty-free benefit. You can use the smart tariff lookup to estimate the tax in advance.
What items can't be consolidated (prohibited goods)?
Lithium batteries and battery-containing products, flammable liquids, counterfeit goods, fresh meat, controlled medicines, and live animals and plants are generally prohibited or restricted. Rules differ by country and shipping method, so check the Taiwan Import Prohibited Items List before ordering.
How do I pick a Taiwan consolidator?
Evaluate 6 points: ① overseas warehouse locations and free storage days ② transparency of sea/air rates and volumetric rules ③ whether combining, reinforcement, and insurance are offered ④ customs clearance and EZWay declaration support ⑤ compensation and customer service ⑥ genuine reviews. See Taiwan Consolidator Recommendations Compared.
