Can people in Taiwan shop on Xiaohongshu?
Yes. People in Taiwan can order on Xiaohongshu themselves without going through a third party, provided three conditions are met: ① register for the Xiaohongshu App with a Taiwan mobile number (+886) or an Apple ID; ② check out with WeChat Pay or Alipay (if you have no Chinese bank card, you can open an Alipay account verified with your Taiwan Compatriot Permit); ③ enter the Shenzhen consolidation warehouse as the delivery address, because most sellers on the Xiaohongshu Mall do not ship directly to Taiwan. A dutiable value of NT$2,000 or less and no more than 6 imports within six months qualify for duty-free entry, and the whole process takes about 8–23 days.
Of the three prerequisites, payment is where people get stuck most often: the Xiaohongshu Mall and creator stores only accept WeChat Pay / Alipay, and both require a linked Chinese bank card or a topped-up balance. An Alipay account verified with a Taiwan Compatriot Permit is the most universal solution; if you would rather not apply for one, you can simply search for the same item on Taobao / Tmall and check out with an international credit card — the consolidation process is exactly the same. HowBridge only charges consolidation fees in NT$ and issues a unified invoice; it does not pay for goods in RMB on your behalf (per Article 29 of the Banking Act).

Open the Xiaohongshu App → tap the "product link" in a post or go to the "Mall" / an influencer's store → select an item and order → enter the delivery address at checkout:
On Chinese e-commerce platforms (Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD, Xiaohongshu, etc.), the shipping label automatically masks the name and phone number with asterisks (e.g. 王**, 136****4302) — only the address is never masked. So simply enter "好运器" as the name and the warehouse phone number 13603054302 as the phone; for the delivery address, log in to 0523.tw and one-tap copy it from the homepage — it already ends with your personal ID code (starting with H), which the warehouse uses to match parcels to your account automatically, so do not delete or change it. (The old format — a Taiwan mobile number at the end of the address — still works for matching.)
Payment: WeChat Pay / Alipay (linked to a Chinese bank card / wallet balance). For posts without a Mall purchase link, search for the same item on Taobao / Tmall and order there.
3Photo confirmation when items arrive at the warehouse
When your parcel reaches our Shenzhen warehouse, the system sends a LINE push notification, and the dashboard shows the parcel photo, actual weight, and dimensions. You can add an "unboxing item count" service for NT$5 per item to open and photograph the contents for confirmation.

How is the NT$2,000 duty-free allowance calculated?
Under Taiwan customs rules, the duty-free conditions for individuals importing goods are:
- A single shipment's dutiable value (goods + international freight + insurance, CIF) ≤ NT$2,000
- No more than 6 imports within any six months (need not be from the same supplier)
- Not tobacco or alcohol, and not a restricted import item

If you receive a counterfeit or are scammed on Xiaohongshu, can the import tax you already paid be refunded?
Yes, you can. Ministry of Finance Ruling No. 1131014492 of May 27, 2024 states that an individual defrauded in a cross-border online purchase may apply for a refund of overpaid tax under Article 17, Paragraph 5 of the Customs Act. The application must be filed within 6 months from the day after the goods are released, together with the police case-acceptance certificate, the cross-border online transaction documents and proof of import taxation, and submitted to the customs office at the place of import.
If it is not fraud but a defective item that the seller has agreed to compensate for or replace, a different rule applies: under Article 51 of the Customs Act and Customs Administration letter Tai-Cai-Guan No. 11310144921 of 27 May 2024 (ROC 113), the duty-exemption application must be filed within 1 month from the day after the original goods were released for import, together with the original purchase contract, proof that the supplier agreed to the compensation or replacement, proof of import taxation and proof of the original goods. The two deadlines differ sixfold and rest on different legal bases, so when you find a problem with an item, first establish which category it falls into so that you do not miss the filing deadline.
To reduce the risk at source, you can add the unboxing item count service (NT$5 per item) when the parcel reaches our Shenzhen warehouse, so the contents are unpacked and photographed for confirmation. In addition, under Keelung Customs’ Guide to Cross-Border Online Shopping by Sea Express (《海運快遞跨境網購須知》), a single consignment with a customs value of NT$2,001–50,000 goes through a simplified declaration, while anything above NT$50,000 requires a formal customs declaration — the higher the amount, the more important it is to keep your transaction records. Counterfeits, by contrast, are absolutely prohibited: they are detained by Customs and dealt with under the law, and the refund rules do not apply to them.
September 2026 reminder: according to Criminal Investigation Bureau statistics, 505 phishing-link fraud cases were reported in August 2026 with losses exceeding 5,451 × NT$10,000 — double the number of cases and three times the losses of the same month last year — and text messages posing as "online-shopping parcel pickup notices" are rampant. HowBridge warehouse arrival, dispatch and delivery notifications appear only in the member center and on our official LINE account; we never send text messages asking you to click a link to pay extra shipping fees or taxes. "7–14 days" is the range measured from our own shipments (billed in China to signed for in Taiwan, in calendar days); most sea freight parcels arrive within this range. How to Pay Your Freight Bill: Methods and Full Process
Once your parcels have been consolidated and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch. You can settle it online by card or bank transfer; a successful payment clears the bill automatically, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. Below are the payment methods currently available, every step of the process, and what online payment on this site may be used for.
Online payment on this site is used solely to pay consolidated freight and related logistics service fees (international freight, forwarding, domestic delivery, customs clearance and warehousing-related service fees). We do not collect payment for your goods, we do not pay sellers on your behalf, and we are not a party to your transaction with the seller. Payment for items bought on Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Pinduoduo or any other platform must still be made to the seller through that platform as usual. We charge only for the logistics service of moving your goods from the warehouse to you.

A freight bill is issued after your parcels ship
Once your parcels have been received at the consolidation warehouse, packed and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch, covering international freight, forwarding and domestic delivery charges.

Sign in to your account and open My Bills to see the amount due, the number of parcels and a line-by-line breakdown of the charges before you pay.

Tap "Pay Now" to open the secure checkout
The checkout shows the parcels being settled and the total due once more, and lists the available payment methods. Amounts are always calculated on the server, so they never vary by device or browser.

Choose a payment method and complete payment
You are then taken to the payment page for the method you chose. Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay are completed on the NewebPay page; choosing LINE Pay takes you to the LINE Pay payment page, where you simply confirm in the LINE app; choosing JKOPay takes you to the JKOPay payment page, where you confirm in the JKOPay app or scan the QR Code; choosing ATM transfer gives you a dedicated virtual account, bank code and payment deadline; choosing convenience-store code payment gives you a payment code to print the slip at a store kiosk and pay at the counter. Please complete non-instant payments before the deadline. If you choose Taiwan Pay or E.SUN Wallet, a QR code appears — pay by scanning it in the matching app; the page will not return to our site afterwards, and your bill updates once the payment notification arrives.
