Can you pay consolidated shipping fees with JKOPay? The HowBridge website checkout supports it
Yes. HowBridge has a direct contract with the operator of JKOPay, and since September 23, 2026 JKOPay has been officially available at the website checkout for all members, with no payment processing fee added.
Log in to 0523.tw → “My Bills” → select a bill and tap “Online Payment” → choose JKOPay: on a phone the JKOPay app opens for confirmation; on a computer a QR Code is shown for you to scan with your phone. The payment flow inside the HowBridge app has not yet been confirmed, so please open the website in a browser to pay.
Last updated: 2026-09-24 | JKOPay rules are quoted from the JKOPay official website FAQ and JKOPay developer documentation (accessed 2026-09-24); if they change, JKOPay’s announcements prevail
Can you use JKOPay with HowBridge? Website vs. app
Yes, but for now only at the website checkout. JKOPay was enabled through a direct contract between HowBridge and the operator of JKOPay (街口電子支付股份有限公司), not through any other payment agent. It has been available to all members since September 23, 2026 and is listed second at the checkout (after LINE Pay).
Log in to 0523.tw in a browser on your phone or computer, tap “Online Payment” in “My Bills”, and JKOPay appears in the list of payment methods. HowBridge charges no extra payment processing fee of any kind: the amount shown at checkout is exactly what you pay, and paying with JKOPay costs the same as any other method.
This page has not yet confirmed whether JKOPay can be selected in the in-app payment flow. To pay with JKOPay, open the 0523.tw bill page in a browser and pay there, or use another payment method in the app. For other app limitations, see the HowBridge app guide.
Why can’t you pay consolidated shipping with JKOPay on Taobao, but you can at HowBridge?
A common question online is: “When checking out on Taobao, the consolidated shipping fee can’t be paid with JKOPay.” In fact, these happen on two different checkout pages:
Taobao checkout page: decided by Taobao and its partners
Taobao is a shopping platform in mainland China. Which payment methods are available on the Taobao checkout page, and which fees can be paid there, are arranged between Taobao and its payment and logistics partners; HowBridge cannot explain or change them on their behalf.
HowBridge shipping fees: paid at HowBridge’s own checkout
When you use HowBridge consolidated shipping, you pay only for the goods on Taobao and enter the HowBridge Shenzhen warehouse as the delivery address. Only after the parcels arrive at the warehouse and are consolidated and shipped does the system create a HowBridge shipping bill, which is paid at the 0523.tw checkout, not through Taobao. HowBridge has its own payment acceptance contract with JKOPay, so this bill can be paid with JKOPay.
What we collect is a logistics service fee, not payment for goods
The HowBridge checkout collects the “freight service fee”: international freight, domestic delivery and other logistics service charges. HowBridge does not collect payment for goods or pay sellers on your behalf; please pay for Taobao items on Taobao yourself. For how to fill in the delivery address, see the Taobao to Taiwan consolidated shipping guide.
HowBridge has only a Shenzhen warehouse and a Taoyuan warehouse; its service covers consolidated shipping from mainland China to Taiwan.
What can you pay with JKOPay?
Any item on a member bill that can be paid via “Online Payment” can be paid with JKOPay. The list below reflects the system’s current payment settings:
| Fee | Payable with JKOPay? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Consolidated shipping bills | ✅ Yes | International freight, domestic delivery fees, transfer fees, and service fees listed on the bill such as wooden crating and packaging, paid in full according to the bill details. |
| Tax paid on your behalf (simplified declaration) | ✅ Yes | For parcels where you choose to have HowBridge collect and pay the tax, the bill is issued after customs assesses the tax: the tax (as assessed by customs), the NT$40 per-shipment tax-payment handling fee and the freight are billed together and can be paid in one go with JKOPay at the checkout. That is why the bill appears somewhat later than with other tax payment options. |
| Value-added services | ✅ Yes | For value-added services such as parcel photos, parcel returns, counting and barcode labelling, the payment page offers LINE Pay, JKOPay, credit card and Apple Pay / Google Pay / Samsung Pay (these instant services do not accept ATM or convenience-store codes). |
| Formal declaration charges | ❌ No | Amounts marked “Formal declaration · Bank transfer only” on the bill page can only be settled by bank transfer; online payment does not collect this part. For the process, see Formal import declaration for companies. |
| Payment for goods, paying sellers | ❌ No | HowBridge does not collect payment for goods or pay sellers on your behalf. |
The limit for a single online payment is NT$200,000; for larger amounts, please contact customer service.
After a successful payment the system automatically issues an e-invoice; at checkout you can choose a mobile barcode, citizen certificate, business tax ID or donation. When a bill includes tax paid on your behalf, the tax itself is not included in the e-invoice; the NT$40 per-shipment tax-payment handling fee is issued on the same e-invoice as the freight, with the single item name “Consolidated shipping service fee”. See the e-invoice guide.
JKOPay payment steps: phone and computer
The first three steps are the same on both devices; the difference is in step four:
1Log in to your HowBridge account
Open 0523.tw in a browser and log in. Only the account the bill belongs to can open the checkout and pay; if you are not logged in, you will be taken to the login page first.
2Open “My Bills” and tap “Online Payment”
In My Bills, select the bill you want to pay, check the details and amount, then tap “Online Payment” to enter the checkout.
3Choose JKOPay and enter invoice details
Choose “JKOPay” as the payment method, fill in the e-invoice option (carrier, business tax ID or donation), tick your agreement to the Return / Refund Notice and Privacy Notice, and tap “Confirm payment”.
4Confirm the payment in JKOPay
Phone browser: the JKOPay app on your phone opens directly to the payment page; check the amount and pay. Computer or tablet: a JKOPay payment QR Code is shown on screen; scan it with the JKOPay app on your phone and confirm the payment. According to JKOPay’s developer documentation, transactions on a computer or tablet get a QR Code page and mobile devices are directed to the JKOPay app, with JKOPay determining the device.
5Automatic return to HowBridge after a successful payment
After a successful payment, JKOPay takes you back to HowBridge; once HowBridge has checked and confirmed with JKOPay, the bill automatically changes to “Paid”.
| Phone | Computer / tablet | |
|---|---|---|
| JKOPay payment page | Opens the JKOPay app directly | Shows a QR Code |
| What you need | The JKOPay app installed and logged in on your phone | The JKOPay app on another phone to scan the code |
| Available payment instruments | JKOPay account, bank account, credit card (as shown on the JKOPay app payment screen) | Same as left |
HowBridge does not restrict the use of JKO Coins or JKO vouchers; whether they can be applied and whether JKO Coins rewards are given depends on the JKOPay app payment screen and JKOPay’s announcements.
Payment time limit and posting: 20 minutes, no redirect on failure
The JKOPay payment page has a time limit, and what happens when a payment fails differs from other payment methods. Knowing these points will keep you from getting stuck:
The payment link and QR Code are valid for 20 minutes
According to JKOPay’s developer documentation “Order Creation API”: “the returned payment_url and QRCode can be used within 20 minutes.” If you leave it too long without paying, go back to the HowBridge bill page and tap “Online Payment” again to get a new payment page.
If the payment fails, JKOPay does not take you back to HowBridge
According to JKOPay’s developer documentation “Web Integration Guide”: “If the user’s payment fails in the JKOPay app, the JKOPay service will not redirect the user back to your application.” You are returned automatically only when the payment succeeds. If the payment fails, go back to the HowBridge bill page yourself to check the status, then decide whether to pay again or use another method.
Paying again does not charge you twice
When you start a new payment for the same bill, the system first voids the old, unfinished payment order and then creates a new one. Even if the old payment page is still open, it cannot collect this bill a second time.
HowBridge always verifies with JKOPay before posting a payment
After receiving a payment notification, HowBridge always queries JKOPay for the actual status of the transaction before settling the bill. For payment orders still unconfirmed 15 minutes after creation, the system proactively queries JKOPay every 10 minutes to catch any missed notifications. If your bill does not update right after you pay, please do not pay again.
JKOPay refunds: where does the money go, and how long does it take?
Refunds have two parts: first, whether HowBridge can refund (freight service rules); then, how JKOPay returns the money (JKOPay operating rules).
- Before consolidation and shipment: while the parcel is still in the warehouse and has not been shipped, you may request cancellation and a full refund of the freight service fee paid.
- Shipped, in transit or delivered: once the logistics service has started it cannot be stopped, so no refund is possible.
- Errors on our platform’s side: if they cause delay, loss or damage, compensation or a refund will be negotiated based on the actual circumstances.
- Refund method: payments made with JKOPay are refunded to JKOPay via the original route, in full or in part. Refunds are handled by HowBridge customer service; please apply through the HowBridge LINE official account or Contact us. There is currently no self-service refund button for members.
- E-invoice: after a refund, if the full amount is refunded within the same calendar month the e-invoice was issued, the original e-invoice is voided as required; for a partial refund, or once the month has passed, an allowance is issued instead.

A refund push notification will be sent when it is returned, and you can check your account records to confirm whether the money has been returned.” | JKOPay FAQ “I scanned a TWQR code and the transaction failed, but I was charged. What should I do?” |
| When does my credit limit come back? | After you receive JKOPay’s refund success notification, “it still needs to be processed by the acquiring bank and the card-issuing bank”, “generally about 7 to 10 working days (the actual timing depends on the card-issuing bank)”. | JKOPay FAQ “When will my credit limit be restored after a credit card refund succeeds?” |
| If JKO vouchers were used | “When JKO vouchers are used for a purchase, partial refunds are not possible.” | JKOPay FAQ “How do I use JKO vouchers?” |
For reference, in its answer about “a failed TWQR transaction that was charged”, JKOPay explains that money paid by bank account or JKOPay account is returned to the JKOPay account, while credit card payments have the authorization cancelled or are refunded to the card. Where an online-store refund actually goes and how long it takes to arrive is determined by JKOPay’s refund push notification and your account records. Returns and exchanges of the goods themselves are a matter between you and the seller; see the cross-border returns and refunds guide.
JKOPay failed-payment checklist
Match what you see on screen and follow the steps:
| Situation | Possible cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Can’t find JKOPay in the app | The in-app payment flow has not yet been confirmed | Open the 0523.tw bill page in a browser to pay, or use another payment method in the app. |
| Can’t open the checkout; asked to log in | Not logged in, or logged in with an account other than the bill owner’s | Log in with the member account the bill belongs to, then tap “Online Payment” again. |
| The QR Code or payment page has expired | JKOPay payment links are valid for 20 minutes | Go back to the bill page and tap “Online Payment” again; the system voids the old order and gives you a new payment page. |
| The JKOPay app shows a failure and the screen did not return to HowBridge | JKOPay does not redirect back to the store when a payment fails | Go back to the HowBridge bill page manually; if the bill is still unpaid, pay again or use another method. |
| JKOPay charge failed, or the bank account cannot be linked | Insufficient balance, credit card limit, or bank account linking requirements (account in your own name, online banking and non-designated transfers enabled, etc.) | Check the JKOPay FAQ “Why can’t I link my bank account?”, or contact JKOPay customer service; you can also use another HowBridge payment method. |
| Money has been deducted but the HowBridge bill has not updated | Delayed payment notification | Do not pay again yet. The system proactively queries JKOPay and posts the payment; if it still has not updated after a while, contact HowBridge LINE customer service with the payment time. |
| The checkout shows “JKOPay setup is not complete” (街口支付尚未完成設定) or “Payment connection error” (金流連線異常) | The JKOPay service is temporarily unable to create the payment | Try again later, or use another method such as LINE Pay or credit card. |
HowBridge customer service will never add you from a personal LINE account or ask you to transfer shipping fees to a personal account; all online payments are initiated at the 0523.tw checkout after you log in. For how to spot scams, see the anti-fraud guide.
Other payment methods
